Matching sticks. Four the same size means no dog gets the visibly better one, which is where trouble starts.

One bigger stick. For the dog who finishes first, or for a longer session on a quiet day.

Cheaper than buying separately. $55.99 against $60.97 for the same five sticks.

Four ingredients. Yak milk, cow milk, lime juice, salt. Same in every stick.

No rawhide, grain or gluten. No bleach, no glue, no preservatives, no colouring.

Nothing wasted. Every stub microwaves into a second treat, which is handy when you need two at once.

  • 2 ร— Original Yak Cheese Chew, 3.5 oz ร— 2 sticks โ€” four sticks in total
  • 1 ร— Original Yak Cheese Chew, 5 oz โ€” one larger stick

Bought separately this comes to $60.97. As a bundle it is $55.99.

Give each dog their own stick and put them in separate rooms, crates or corners while they chew. Do not hand out one chew between two dogs.

Stay in the room and keep water down for both, because hard cheese makes dogs thirsty.

Suitable from four months, once the adult teeth are through. Take each chew away once it is small enough to swallow whole, and collect them all at the same time rather than leaving one dog chewing while another has finished.

Two or three sessions a week suits most dogs. It is calorie dense, so count it in each dog's daily food rather than on top of it.

Do not bin the last pieces.

Soak a stub in water for about thirty seconds, microwave it for forty-five, and the moisture inside expands into a light crunchy puff. Let it cool completely before serving, it comes out hot.

With more than one dog, puff both stubs at the same time so they get theirs together. Handing one dog a treat while the other watches is the thing you are trying to avoid.

Store in a cool, dry place. No refrigeration, and no need to reseal the bag.

Let a stick dry out fully between sessions before putting it back. Keep each dog's stick separate if you are reusing them across days.

Take the chew away once it is small enough to swallow whole. Collect all of them at once, so no dog is left with a chew while another is watching.

Guarding a high value chew is common even in dogs who normally share everything. If either dog stiffens, freezes or growls over a chew, separate them and speak to a trainer before offering chews together again.

This is a hard chew, so it is not right for dogs with dental disease, existing fractures or crowns. Unlike bone or antler it softens as saliva works into it, and it does not splinter. If either dog has had dental problems, ask your vet first.

Contains dairy. For dogs only, not for human consumption. Keep out of reach of children.

Aged hard cheese is very low in lactose, but if your dog reacts badly to dairy this is not the chew for them. We would rather tell you now than process a return later.
